Consultation point on intellectual property for exporters starts its work
On April 8, 2021 the first consultation at the Intellectual Property Consultation Point for Exporters was held.
Nine questions were asked. Most of them concerned the protection of trademarks. We publish the most interesting questions for your review:
Q: We have a color trademark registration in our country and an international registration in several export countries at a medical device company. We intend to change the color and font of the mark depending on the country of export and use it to label exported goods. Is that allowed?
Q: Three founders set up a company to provide services related to human appearance: hair, face and body. In doing so, they open several outlets to serve the public. One – a hairdressing salon, another – a massage room and spa, the third – a gym. And all this they intend to call a common name for each location, such as "Beauty and Health Factory". Can we ask your advice on how to properly protect our sign above each of the salons?
Q: We are a Turkish company and we intend to open a business selling women's clothing from Turkey in your country. In whose name is better to register our trademark already registered in Turkey, in the name of the Turkish manufacturer or its founder - a Syrian citizen?
Question: We apply the simplified taxation system. Will the taxation procedure for our company change if we assign the right to our trademark to another business entity?
