Participation in the national seminar on enforcement of intellectual property rights and fighting counterfeiting and piracy in the digital environment
On October 18 and 19, 2017, a national seminar on enforcement of intellectual property rights and fighting counterfeiting and piracy in the digital environment was held on the territory of the Business Incubator of the High-Tech Park. The Acting Director Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in the work of the international forum. The event was organized by the High Technologies Park, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the National Center for Intellectual Property (NCIP).
There are many unresolved issues in the field of fighting violations of intellectual property rights in the digital environment at the national and partly international levels. Presentations of speakers from WIPO, NCIP, Belarusian specialized agencies and organizations, as well as private national and foreign law firms, were devoted to the challenges faced by state bodies, rightholders and the business community.
During the seminar, hot discussions among the leading speakers who were interested in developing ways to improve the national legislation and law enforcement practices in the field of intellectual property rights protection in the digital environment were repeatedly heated.
