National Seminar "Intellectual Property Rights for (SMEs)"
The seminar was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP). It was devoted to topical issues of supporting SMEs in the field of protection and commercialization of intellectual property (IP), enhancing the role of innovative SMEs in the CIS countries, based on the innovative model of economic development, state policy on the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Republic of Belarus, strategies of enterprises in the field of management, audit, accounting and evaluation of IP assets, the role of business associations and innovation structures in promoting innovation, creating motivating mechanisms for innovative SME activity, etc.
Speakers at the seminar were the Deputy Chairman of the SCST - Piotr Baltrukovich, the Director General of the NCIS - Piotr Brovkin, the international IP expert from Great Britain - Mr. Ron Marchand, the Professor of Beirut University "La Sagess" (Lebanon) - Mr. Pierre El Khoury, the WIPO staff - Mr. Anil Sinha and Mr. Yevgeny Sesitsky and others.
