The International Seminar “Actual issues of protection, defense and commercialization of intellectual property objects in the Republic of Belarus and abroad” is held on October 11, 2023 in Minsk.
The seminar was organized by the State Committee on science and technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Centre for Intellectual Property (NCIP).
The seminar was held at the President Hotel. The participants included representatives of law enforcement agencies, MART, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus, concerns and sectoral ministries, various organizations and institutions, as well as Belarusian exporting organizations.
Practical experience of intellectual property rights protection both in Belarus and abroad was brought to the attention of more than 150 listeners by specialists of NCIP and Eurasian Patent Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus, patent attorneys of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. During the seminar the mechanisms of specific features of national and international procedures for granting legal protection to industrial property objects were disclosed.
The great interest of the seminar participants was attracted to the issues of parallel import, highlighted by Deputy Director General of NCIP A. P. Zaitz. This topic is especially relevant at the present time, as the internal stability of the economy of our country and ways to saturate the Belarusian market with products become important in the current realities.
