The Patent Law Treaty, adopted in Geneva on June 1, 2000 came into force in Belarus on October 21, 2016.

The Acting Director of BelpatentService of the  BelTPP Vycheslav Trofimov took part in the work of the IV Minsk International Forum on Intellectual Property Protection organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Nacional Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) (September 28, 2016).

The Intellectual property (IP) is in the orbit of interests of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for more than half a century. Specific work on the protection, defense and commercialization of intellectual property (IP) within the BelCCI has been carried out for exactly 20 years by the staff of the Unitary Patent Service Enterprise "Belpatentiservice".

On May 31 - June 1, 2016 the Acting Director of BelpatentService of the  BelTPP Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in the Republican practical seminar "Access to Technologies and the Creation of a Network of Centers for the Support of Technologies and Innovations (TISCs) in Belarus". The seminar was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in conjunction with the National Center for Intellectual Property (NCIP).

On April 26, 2016 in the International Day of Intellectual Property the Acting Director of BelpatentService of the BelCCI, the patent attorney Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in the regional seminar "Patent Law Treaty (PLT)", organized in Minsk by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the National Center for Intellectual Property.

On April 19, 2016 the Acting Director of BelpatentService of the BelTPP Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in a meeting with the delegation of the Intellectual Property Office of Beijing. The Chinese delegation was headed by the head of the department Mr. Wang Hong. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented at the meeting by the First Deputy Chairman Alexander Nakhaenko.

On April 13, 2016 the Acting Director of BelpatentService of the BelTPP Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in the ceremony of presenting 34 new members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with certificates of membership in the Chamber.

On January 20, 2016 the Acting Director of BelpatentService of BelTPP Vyacheslav Trofimov took part in the ceremony of presenting to 21 new members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry the certificates of membership in the Chamber.

On December 17, 2015 during the III International Forum "ANTIKONTRAFACT-2015" activities. the Acting Director of BelpatentService of the BelCCI  Vyacheslav  Trofimov  with the assistance of the Foreign Economic Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met and held negotiations with the adviser of the economic service of the Embassy of the French Republic in the Russian Federation on intellectual property in the CIS countries and Georgia, Ms. Marion Gut.

From 07.11.2015 to 11.12.2015, two specialists of Joint Stock Company "Russian mechanics" (RU) underwent training at the "Belpatentservice" of BelCCI under the agreement with the "Federal Institute for Certification and Evaluation of Intellectual Property and Business" (ZAO "SOIS") (RU)
